For many, the space for savings is being suffocated by oil. For some, the current space for building capital (employer) is getting sucked into a black hole. And more still are experiencing the uneasiness of limited governmental leadership.
Is your slate experiencing a cleansing?
Use this time as a time to recenter and refocus on an even more satisfying project.
Remember Ray Kroc started his McDonald venture at age 52. You are not too old, too tired. You have ideas unique to your own. You have resources of people. You are American and inventive by nature.

Buzzword of the week: Soccer Mom Indicator
“An indicator based on the theory that listening to what people are talking about at their children’s soccer games (or similar event) is one of the best ways to find out how the economy or investing environment was doing.
The soccer mom indicator is considered a lagging indicator. This means that if a parent is talking about internet stocks, then you know the internet stock phenomenon nearing its end because everyone, even the soccer moms (and dads), knows it.” -Investopedia
I suspect this could also be called a “Hair Salon” or “Taxi Driver” indicator.
Six Points to Ponder:
1. $700Bn bailout plan powering forward in a dark tunnel. Supposed deal made. Dow up 278 at the moment. S&P 500 up 2.64%.
2. McCain attempts to halt Friday night debates in hopes of focusing on bailout plan. Obama denies request.
3. “New home sales at 17-yr low, prices fall record amount”. Mortgage rates up on the week. Oil at $107.55.
4. GM, Ford, and Chrysler to receive $25Bn in loan aid. This is separate from $700Bn bailout plan.
5. The Rider Cup (American vs European golfers) was filled with dramatics Sunday. The Americans ultimately taking back the Cup!
6. The Dodgers are one win away from claiming Division Champions. The Trojans take on the disruptive Beavers of Oregon State tonight. Mets or Phillies?
Positives:
* A bailout plan needs to happen. Our economy is too frail and on the verge of a Japanese 15yr crisis.
* Golf can be exciting even without Tiger. Anthony Kim, the young Southern California, inspired the crowd. “USA, USA, USA!”
* The Dodgers are on fire at the perfect time. Manny is being Manny and as Lucas Herrera stated this morning “The Dodgers are finally healthy. Kent and Ethier are back from their injuries. Though Ethier struck out.”
Negatives:
* $700Bn charged to the 300 million tax payers because of a couple million greedy home owners, lenders, appraisers, and investors. The saddest part is Congress has really no clue what to do.
* Continued declining numbers in the housing sector, though a great thing for current and future buyers, is continually leading to stagnation of making choices.
* Supporting a dying American industry is tough to see. The Asians and Europeans do a better job than we do, however, again, this is an industry too big to fail. Too many jobs are at stake in the midwest.
